I was wondering if it would be possible to use the 'Blog' template for most of my website, whilst also having some pages on my website using the 'Portfolio' template. Is this possible? How can it be done if so?

I am trying to have a main page and want the date completely gone. How do I do it for a post?

I'm also trying to create a new page that has an embed to a newsletter and some introductory text around it. I'm struggling to find a way to do this. Any help is appreciated.

I want to use blog.[website].com (amongst other subdomains), whilst keeping my apex domain linked to Blot. I've tried doing this, and I've updated the CNAME records to reflect this, but when I go to my subdomain website I get this message: "Your domain is almost set up. You have successfully pointed your domain to Blot’s server. The DNS records you created are working. You still need to enter your domain on the dashboard. Blot must know which site to show here. Please update the domain settings page on your site’s dashboard." My normal website with the apex domain works fine.

It looks like making a change to a post’s title (therefore changing the url) is sending that post back into the RSS feed. Is that expected behavior?

I've been playing around with the excellent Reference template and having a lot of fun customizing it. While the blog feed is great for tagged images, I'm having a little bit of trouble getting video in the mix. I'm wondering if there's any way to get video embed thumbnails to display in the blog feed similar to image files? Right now they are treated as text posts since they are .md files with a Vimeo URL in them and some info in the file name (date, tags, etc). Ideally a mini version of the embedded player would show in the feed, similar to other templates. I'd be happy with a static thumbnail though, the .post.no-thumbnail style is a little jarring in a sea of image thumbnails. Thx! ♥Jonathan

I use Google Drive to sync to my blog. I added a file to the folder, then moved it to a tagged folder, and now the post is showing up twice on my blog, despite having deleted any duplicate files and reloading my Drive and my blog. The "Fix Your Folder" option is not working, and the post is showing up twice in my Archives as well. Also, as an aside, old tags that I have removed from posts are still showing up in my Archives. Help!

I'm looking for help with a ghost post. An old post continues to appear on my blog even though the .txt file is no longer in my google drive folder. I cannot figure out a way of removing it. All help is welcome !

Is there's a way to use the self-verification system at Mastodon with a Blot site. Any tips?

I want to add a second template page similar to the tagged pages, so I added in package.json: "views": { "tagged2.html": { "url": "/tagged2" "partials": { "title": "...", "description": "..." } }, ... } However this merely defines a URL http://myname.blot.im/tagged2 without parameters. That's why http://myname.blot.im/tagged2/mytag gives a 404. So how can I define a new view/template page which accepts a tag name as parameter?

I have one markdown file up as a test. It came straight from Obsidian, but most of the formatting for lists isn't working correctly. Looking for any ideas what i'm doing wrong. Thanks! EDIT: Disregard. It was user error. Either my formatting was never right, or it got messed up somehow between Obsidian and Blot. Fixed it up, and it is displaying properly now.

How does Blot work in regards to having affiliate links within my blog post? How will it appear? I am a totally blind blogger, so I want to make sure that my links don't look weird.

Is it possible to add a folder of documents that become a sub-domain to my main site. e.g. newfolder/mydomain.com?

Per the instructions I found in the "How to use Blot" section I have made a page called "Posts" that links to "/page/1"; however, nothing shows up there. I tried with no "Link: " metadata in my post and didn't get the post on my homepage or "/page/1". I also tried making link to "Link: /", which obviously put the post on my homepage, but not on "/page/1". Any advice would be much appreciated. I love the theoretical simplicity of Blot, but I'm struggling to get something seemingly simple working how I expect it to.

I noticed when enabling CloudFlare proxy, the site will end up in a redirect loop. This also happens when disabling the "Redirect subdomain on Blot to your custom domain" setting. Anyone any luck with using CloudFlare proxy ontop of a blot blog?

I'm just wondering whether Blot is still in development. I don't see many people using this platform. I'm just a bit concerned about the longevity of my blog. Cheers.
