Bridgy Fed Support on Blot
Hi all. I would like to implement brid.gy fed support on my blog. I have had webfinger working before but the instructions here are a bit different and I am unsure how to do this. This lets my blog be its own fediverse end point rather than tie it to some mastodon instance which I have left for a variety of reasons. Here's the support link from brid.gy. I am unsure how to accomplish this on blot or if its possible even: https://fed.brid.gy/docs#redirect+these+URL+paths Thanks for any help! BTW, I am still active on Pixelfed. Just not on mastodon. This is not a requirement for me. Just a fun to have optional thing to learn.
Which ID to use for Clicky?
Upon enabling Clicky tracking on the services page, I'm prompted for a Tracking ID. Clicky provides me with a Website-ID (which seems to be embedded in HTML tracking codes), a site key and an admin site key. Neither of them seems to be working, as Clicky does not count any visits. What can I do to fix this?
Free comment service?
I would like to have comments under my blogs, but i am not quite ready to pay $5/mo or more for this feature. Is there any plan in supporting a free comment feature?
Advice for SEO?
I would like my blot website to be one of the first hits when someone searches <my name>, or <my name my profession>, but i don't want the domain to be my_name.com or stuff like this. Any advice on how to make this more likely (besides putting my name on a lot of pages)? perhaps some config file or something
Multiple subdomains on Blot?
I want to use blog.[website].com (amongst other subdomains), whilst keeping my apex domain linked to Blot. I've tried doing this, and I've updated the CNAME records to reflect this, but when I go to my subdomain website I get this message: "Your domain is almost set up. You have successfully pointed your domain to Blot’s server. The DNS records you created are working. You still need to enter your domain on the dashboard. Blot must know which site to show here. Please update the domain settings page on your site’s dashboard." My normal website with the apex domain works fine.
