Advice for SEO?

I would like my blot website to be one of the first hits when someone searches <my name>, or <my name my profession>, but i don't want the domain to be my_name.com or stuff like this.

Any advice on how to make this more likely (besides putting my name on a lot of pages)? perhaps some config file or something
