Image in Margin on Magazine template?

I've seen several example sites where people put images in the margins next to their main body of text. Is this possible on the Magazine template? How would one go about adding a small thumbnail image next to a part of their markdown document?

I second the question (at least for images in posts) -- I've noticed the usual alignment moustaches don't work in Magazine i.e. {{>}} or like {{>|}}.

I assume it's due to the layout structure of the template?

Correct, I couldn't get the layout tags working nicely when I was designing that template, due to the permanent sidebar. I want to make them work, though, it's just a question of implementing it in the template's CSS
