At the moment, Blot supports three ways to sync a folder: Dropbox, Google Drive and Git. We're currently working on adding others – which tools or services would you like us to support?
Proton Drive would be cool, although I'm not sure if that's technically possible at the moment.

It would also be great if Blot could integrate with Synology Drive, so people can truly self-host their blog without having to reply on 3rd party services, like G Drive Dropbox etc.
Realise this is an edge case however, and will likely never happen :-)

Answered 8 months ago · Improve this answerI've decided that I will wait for Apple to release an iCloud Drive API (as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. already do).
Since there is no iCloud Drive API, the workaround I had planned was to run a Mac server, connected to the internet and powered 24/7, signed into Blot's iCloud account. I'd use Apple Script to automate the creation of blog folders folders within iCloud Drive on the Mac server and then automate the sharing of those folders with your iCloud email addresses. The Mac server would then watch the blog folders for changes and then in turn, sync them with Blot's server.
After thorough experimentation, I have concluded the workaround I was planning to use is unreliable – perhaps this seems obvious based on the description of the proposed system in the previous paragraph – but I tried hard to get this to work.
If you want to help, please apply pressure on Apple to release an API for iCloud Drive.
Answered 5 months ago · Improve this answerWhile it is sad, this is completely understandable. I want Bolt to support everything I want, but above all, I want Bolt to be sustainable.
I can see how the iCloud workaround will be too much of a single point of failure if too many of us switch to it. Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. messing with their API is something we can raise a stink about... but for iCloud, there's no one to cry to.
I will revisit the Git integration as I look for a better way to "publish" from my iPhone using Obsidian – which was the source of my original excitement for iCloud.
