Does Blot handle [[wikilinks]]?

I plan on testing this myself later, but while I'm away from my desk... Can Blot handle wikilinks? It would make it a great companion for e.g. Obsidian.

Not yet, but this is a planned and popularly requested feature. I will post an update here when wikilinks are ready. Please contact us if you would like an email notification as well.

Wikilinks-support is ready!

You can now turn on Convert Wikilinks into links under the Typography section of the services page of your dashboard.

Please note: at the moment, Blot will resolve the path to the linked file based on the conventions Obsidian uses when you have the New link format setting on Relative path to file. I eventually plan to support other methods – please contact support with suggestions if your method isn't working.

As always, please let me know if you have any feedback, thoughts or questions.

What does this mean? I quickly checked Obsidians web site and all I found was that I should type [[ and the select the page, but I didn't see anything about the conventions used. Is Blot using relative path, absolute, something else?

I just added documentation on how to use wikilinks with Blot – please let me know if you have any questions about this

Is there a way to have [[Wikilinks]] look different¹ to hyperlinks that redirect away from the blot site?

¹ "Look different" could be that a [[wikilink] is a different colour to an external link, or that external links are marked with a small arrow noting they direct readers away from the site.

Yes, Blot adds the class wikilink to all wikilinks, so you can target them in your site's CSS file. For example:

<a href="/target" class="wikilink">Custom text</a>

Just tried this, but instead of the class Blot adds a title tag to my Wikilink:

<a href="/2023/ai-inflection-points" title="wikilink">they generate viral bits of pop culture</a>

Good catch, I will fix this

Is it fixed? I can't see anywhere to turn on the option of using [[wikilinks]].
