Google Drive is working again
You'll need to log in and re-connect your folder to Google Drive on the folder settings page.
I have finished the rewrite of the client which syncs Google Drive to Blot, avoiding Google's API shenanigans. Instead of asking you to go through the Google OAUTH login flow, the new client simply asks you to share a folder in your Drive with a specific email address.
Since we're not using Google Drive's API in the same way, the new client doesn't require full access to your Google Drive, which is wonderful.
There will be bugs with the new implementation, which I will fix.
I'm hesitant to conclude with something along the lines of 'Sorry about this' because the interruption was entirely Google's fault.
I just tried reconnecting my site to my Drive folder and it ended up transferring everything into a subfolder and then failing to create the webhook. I'm trying to disconnect and reconnect the drive now but it keeps erroring out.
Answered 3 days ago · Edit answerSorry about this, we're hitting a rate limit on the new client which Google does not document. So although the client worked for me in testing, once I rolled this out to everyone we began to hit the rate limit for monitoring the folder for changes, which is crucial!
I'm going to roll out a fix tomorrow, I'll ping you then
Answered 3 days ago · Edit answerI realise you said you're going to roll out a fix for issues tomorrow yesterday so it's likely you haven't done that yet, but unless I'm missing something obvious I can't figure out how to disconnect and then reconnect Drive. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be a massive help.
Answered a day ago · Edit answerSorry about this, I'm aiming to have the latest fix released either today or Friday and you'll be able to re-connect then
