Use multiple templates?
Can I create multiple pages, have a blog at parts and use other templates in other areas? thanks!
No, this isn't possible by default. If you're willing to edit the source code of your template you could merge the features of one template into another for a specific page but this process will be laborious.
Out of interest, do you have a sense of which templates you'd like to combine together?

Answered 2 years ago · Edit answerI kinda created a photos page thanks to David's help. It does not use a separate template but the photos do not show up on the main blog contents. Instead we created a tag called photography and then modified some views to exclude the photos from the main blog posts. I then created a menu item for the tagged page. For me it works as I want since I can tell stories about the photos and upload the embedded photos and content to dropbox.
I'd like to have a customized photos page too but what I have now works well for my needs. You can see how it works on my blog here:
navigate to the photo menu item in the top nav.
Answered 2 years ago · Edit answerMike, could you share the code how you "modified some views to exclude the photos from the main blog posts" please? You may also share your template for everyone here to play with it
