Editing a template locally

I am unsure what happens if I switch over to editing a template locally. Will the active and current version of the template be saved in a folder on Dropbox (which I am using for my entries and pages)? And what if I, at one point, want to switch back to online editing?

Yes, if you try to turn on the feature you'll see the latest version of the template in a subfolder within the Templates directory of your blog. You can switch back to using the web template editor at any point, just make sure to delete the folder from your Templates directory.

You can't really do too much harm by experimenting yourself with this, especially if it's not the template currently installed on your site, so I recommend just taking the leap and giving it a go. Please let me know if you have any questions about this or anything else

I wonder what where did "Editing a template locally" go? I couldn't find this option with the new UI
