Tags on the Diary template

In the header of the Diary template, the tags that appear next to the title: Are these automatically every tag on the site? Is there any way to edit which tags/categories appear in this space? Or have nothing appear there?

At the moment, the Diary template will display all of the tags used on your site, in descending order of popularity. You can hide these tags if you remove lines 10-12 of the view header.html from a forked copy of the Diary template. You can also manually add in a few of your chosen tags, like so:

<a href="/tagged/apple" title="Apple">Apple</a>
