Integration with Beehiv, Buttondown, etc.
Has anyone figured out a way to synchronize posts with an email distribution platform like Beehiv, Ghost, or Buttondown? I'm currently copying and pasting posts into Substack (and looking to move away from Substack in the near future) which is a bit tedious.
Some of these services (Beehiv, Buttondown, etc.) offer RSS-to-email which will do the trick for you.
I do this myself with Sendy and a python RSStosendy script that pulls in the latest post from my blog's RSS feed and mails it out to interested parties. Works well.

Answered a month ago · Edit answerI'm using buttondown and so far love it. I don't touch a thing. I use RSS-to-Email (they require a paid subscription) and have spent time talking with their team to customize the design of the email, cadence, and a few other factors. Now it just pulls all my recent posts and sends a weekly email without me doing anything other than publishing. I've used a lot of email services in the past, so far I'm most impressed by Buttondown. I didn't know about them before someone mentioned it in these forums.

It's been quite reliable for me, both as a set-and-forget distributor of individual posts, but also I like their weekly roundup option - which collects the posts from my Blot rss feed and aggregates them into a draft email every Saturday, which I then write a little intro blurb for and send out.

Answered a month ago · Edit answerHey Ray, I'm the person who asked the earlier question and thus discovered your site/newsletter, which I love. Hope you are recovering well! I've been hurt a lot in life from active adventures, and know the rehab cycle well. In it currently. Happy to have you check out my less-frequent but ongoing efforts: inhab.it
