Hi! I've setup Cusdis comments on my blog by adding their widget in my entry.html file.

I have a standalone page that acts as a landing page for a newsletter of this blog and I'd like the comments to be hidden on this page. I've tried declaring "Comments: no" in that page's metadata, but it didn't work.

Is there a way to have Cusdis be understood by the markdown metadata?

I've been updating my blog - mostly just photos, and noticed that changes I've been making to my dropbox haven't been properly reflected.

I've done the reset Dropbox options, all of them from resync to clearing cache, but doesn't appear to be working.

Not a developer, programmer or anything, but I thought something may be possible if I'm not misunderstanding how Blot works or missing anything...

Since everything is public as rendered from the template on the server, could it be possible to use a system of conditional templates or template-based functions based on metadata of the file to restrict access to a page or show context-depending data (like user information)? I mean, coding a script with a call to some authorization service or similar API in a template, a script that would be conditionally used either as part of a page included in another template or doing something like having a template for a whole page to show only private content, that would be used depending on the presence of some metadata or not used if such metadata is not present?

For example, using a whole-page template or part of a template for conditional/private information to be shown as part of the rendered page if an "access" metadata field is not false or has a certain value.

Would it be possible? Would whatever is rendering the template receive data from an API and could it be done in a secure way (like with an HTTP-only cookie restricted to the same domain if hosting the API on a subdomain), without anything being exposed in any way? Or is it impossible or insecure?

If the post contains a video, the image from it is displayed as the cover of the post, regardless of the size of the other images. Please tell me how to choose the first picture in the post for the thumbnail.

And also how do I mark the borders of the text, for display near the cover. I found a discussion on this topic but couldn't apply it to my template.

I would like to add a TOC (table of contents) to each post on my blog. What is the best way to accomplish this?

I was just looking to see if there's been an update on the potential improvements to search, but it seems that the search field on this site is broken.

If I search for any query, nothing happens. I've tried in Safari, Firefox and Edge on MacOS Ventura 13.5.2.

Please add table support to the Magazine template, it doesn't display vertical lines. Or tell me what needs to be transferred from the Blog template, because they work there.

I published a post last night and expected it to be the top post. It did not appear anywhere on the home page. I edited it and reset to make sure dates and times were correct. No change. Looking at the file on the site it is correct if has the new edits. But it is displaying and older version Blog/draft still at the bottom. But this should not prevent it from being the top post.

Any ideas?

Would it be possible for Blot to automate setting up a proxy for analytics script (as a safe-guard for add-blockers)?

Or better yet, maybe some in-house analytics are in the workings? I currently use Umami as a simple privacy-focused self-hosted and cloud analytics and I keep wondering why wouldn't they just license the script to the third-parties like Blot to run along smoothly with the web-server itself.

I am working on a post with some latex equations. They look great and everything, but when there is a latex error of some kind it fails silently, and prevents changes from reflecting in my post.

Tracing down an error is a lot of work, but I isolated a few of them, and now that I've traced the problems, I am completely baffled. Very mundane things like adding () around something can cause it to fail, and I can't figure out why.

For example I have a line

$$A_{ij}$$ contains $$(X_{i,c}W_{c,0})X$$.

which apparently works fine because the page renders, but if I change it to

$$A_{ij}$$ contains $$(X_{i,c}W_{c,0})(X)$$.

then all changes I make to the document are blocked, and aren't reflected until I remove the surrounding () from X.

Another problematic snippet is

The resulting attention matrix is
$$
A = XW^Q W^K^\intercal X^\intercal
$$

Which renders the middle W^K correctly, but everything else is left as plain text..

Then if I include the subsequent paragraph, again, changes are blocked.

While this is easy to lay out, it is very difficult to interpret. The meaning of each barcode depends entirely on which other barcodes are present, so the meaning of $$W^Q$$ and $$W^K$$ can't be nailed down without context.

But if I remove it I can make changes again (but the proceeding equation still renders wrong)

I can't reproduce any of these issues with my own local latex environments, and I've tried all kinds of variations to figure out what is wrong.

Does anyone know what is going on?

I'd like to offer access to files, the folder view from the dashboard is fantastic - is there a way I can have a public facing page like this?

I know a Google Drive sync tool is in the works, but I was wondering if it would be feasible on iCloud and if there are any plans to develop this alternative to Dropbox.

I'm using git and my new posts are going through to my blog (I can see them in the dashboard). However, they are not showing up on the main page of my blog. Some are showing on the archives page and some aren't. This just started today.

I tried to search for that, but the search on the questions page is not working.
